Describe the walkthrough as a short script, or ask your AI to write it. A real browser plays it, and StoryCapture records a finished demo video with the zooms, captions and hidden fields already in place.
Desktop app for macOS and Windows. Works with Claude, Cursor and VS Code.
This page keeps its own demo current: version 6, re-recorded on Oct 18, 2026 with nobody at the app.
A screen recording is a snapshot. When a button moves or a page gets renamed, you record it again, then redo the zooms, the blurred emails and the captions by hand. Most teams don't, so the demo on the site shows last quarter's product.
The same change, two ways: the Invite button was renamed.
Live proof
StoryCapture keeps a script for this landing page. One command checks it against the live page, records it with nobody at the app, and uploads it behind the same link as a new version.
Release day
Before it records, StoryCapture checks every line against the live page. If a button was renamed, the run stops and names the scene and the line. Fix that line, re-record that one scene, and the new version plays behind the same link.

Invite a teammate
Updated today · version 7
Zooms, highlights, narration and captions are written on the step they belong to. Re-record the scene and they come back on their own.

Hide emails and names: they are masked while recording, not blurred afterwards. Sign-in values stay out of the script as named secrets saved on your computer.
Write a say line and an AI voice reads it while the steps run. Captions come from the narration, with a track for every language you write next to the line.

FAQ
The script reads like a list of steps, and you point at things on the page with the picker instead of writing selectors. If you'd rather not write it at all, ask Claude, Cursor or VS Code to write it through StoryCapture's MCP server.
Any site a browser can open, including pages behind a sign-in: the password stays out of the script as a named secret. Pages that stop visitors with an interactive bot check can't be recorded.
Recording and export run on your computer. A video goes online only when you upload it, and it stays private to your workspace until you share it. Narration lines are sent to ElevenLabs to make the voice.
Nothing during the private beta: no card and no seat count. We will tell you what paid plans cost before any price applies. Narration and AI features use your own ElevenLabs, Anthropic or OpenAI key.

A screen recorder gives you a one-off video you edit by hand. An interactive demo tool gives you a click-through tour. StoryCapture gives you a video you re-record from the same script whenever the product changes.
Private beta
We're onboarding teams that ship often and keep a product demo, onboarding video or release clip they'd rather not re-record by hand.
