Story reference

A .story file is a list of scenes, and each line in a scene is one step. Polish sits on the step it belongs to, so a re-record keeps it.

Story and scenes

A story names the app, then runs scenes in order. Each scene becomes a chapter.

The file's one top-level block: a title, then meta, setup and scenes.

A named group of steps. Its title is the chapter name on the watch page.

One line, one action in a real browser. Targets name what a person sees: a role and its label, or the text on the page.

Opens a page.

Clicks a target. The pointer travels there first, the way a person's would.

Moves the camera in on the step's target, then back out when the step is done.
