Download StoryCapture

Install the desktop app on the computer that will run your stories. It records and exports there; the web app is only for sharing.

macOS

macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple silicon. Intel Mac support to confirm.

After you install

  1. Open the app. On a Mac, open the .dmg and drag StoryCapture into Applications first.
  2. Allow screen recording when the app asks. On a Mac it also asks for the microphone, but only if you record a voice-over.
  3. Write a story, or let your AI client write it: see Use with AI clients.
  4. Sign in to the web app from the desktop app when you want to upload and share a video.
